Immeasurable Emptiness

The astral gate
Has opened
Into the northern sky
I leap
The starry night
It beckons me
So I do heed it's call
And let myself into it's embrace

As I fall down
Only darkness meets my flesh
And so my dream of living betwixt the stars
Dies with me
As I choke in the vacuum of space

Only darkness welcomes me

The vast emptiness that's all around me
Is more, than I can comprehend
In the midst of the truly gargantuan
I finally know my insignificance
