When I lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord to bring back the eighties

Silence enfolds all my nothingness
I know I wasn't one to ask for help
I beg for something that will end all this
All I feel now is that I'm in hell

I should move, but my muscles freeze
All I hear is the traffic outside
I could scream to put my mind at ease

Watching an insect in a spider web
Thrashing around before its painful death
I'm like that insect, but I got a chance
