We start with our best foot forward
Impressions they can't ignore
To play the part takes skill and art
A trap set in human flaws

At times we let down our guard
So hard to keep up charade
What first was sold in perfect gold
Is slowly becoming scarred

We're keeping people as pets
In veiled etiquette
Controlling and keeping down

Maintaining this hollow crown
This hurt we say, abuse we trade
Caged animals run aground
