Maelstrom

Distant aether bruising,
earth and madness fusing.
Heedless of entreaty,
Worm, his tail, is eating.

Gone the time for "vision,"
useless now contrition,
meaningless all missions,
rendered pointless by the maelstrom.

Shield of Reason shatters,
spraying human minds and matters.
