Subtle Sacrifice

A sacrifice I'm making with you,
but a bigger one without.
Rely on time to push us forward,
letting go and thrusting out.
Never forfeit in frustration my responsibility.
The potter's hand although refreshing,
is a painful place to be.
Stand tall, never believe you are going to be like this.
Jesus make her rise above it,
rise above.
If only I could see much broader,
beyond the scope of my own flesh,
I could see your glory wadding throughout the storm.
And it keeps me bent all backwards on this pedestal of grace.
I'll always curse you in the morning,
but I greet you in the day.
