Wolves Feast on Forgotten Dreams

I woke up cold, mouth full of crust
Dreams in the dirt, covered in dust
I said I'd rise, I swore I'd change
But I just sat there, numb and stray

I fed the wolves with every lie
Watched my miracle curl and die

Wolves feast on what I left to fade
The hopes I swore I'd never trade
I laid them out like wounded prey
And begged the dark to take me away
Their teeth sink deep, they tear with ease
They dine on all my failed pleas
I wore excuses like a skin
Too scared to lose, too weak to win
