Guardian of the Pale

This memory tightens like an unquenchable thirst
A tether that binds me to yesterday... and tomorrow
And In turn rewrites my own history
Remember me now, if only for a day
Ere you go... I go with thee
The young Earth still innocent and free of scars
She who bled radiance and arose from the ashes
The foaming water is a gown around her feet
The rays of the sun fall golden on her shoulders
Always watching, always waiting
We listen intently
As she says nothing
As feels feels nothing
She of radiant blood
Unfettered from her mortal flesh and bones
She endures
She is free
I am she, born of the stars
Sister to the moon, and daughter of the sky
Forger of light, bringer of darkness
I am that which frees you to follow
Behold me... the un maker of worlds
Guardian of the pale, protector of the fallen
Let me scrape away the rust from your dreams
Let me eat away the fear that binds you
We take our steps slowly as we shape our fragile utopia
