The Devil Beside Me

I sit here in the corner of a room
The walls are closing in and it's my doom
The devil sat beside me offers his hand
But there's just something about him I can't stand
My life flashes before my eyes
Every moment closer to my demise
I can't seem to hold it together anymore
But nothing is different than before

The sunlight burns my eyes
As something inside me slowly dies
I can't understand people anymore
I keep them locked behind the front door
The ravens calling out my name
But the message I sent him remains the same
This room is filled with the sound of my beating heart
But the madness is yet to truly start
