Graven Image

I wish I never saw
The esoteric nature of this world
The true laws that govern all
The beginning and the fall
The change of the aeons
The slow crawl towards horizon
Each moment further apart
And every breath a stab at the heart
What wouldn't the weak man
Do just to understand
To see beyond his days in hand
To see if he can
Transcend
The forbidden fruit of consciousness
Infused with venom of pain, sorrow and grievance
The hunger drives us forth
Far from paradise we are lost
As soon as the walls were erected
So too the serpent appeared
The synchronic struggle
Eternally present
Too easily we pierce the veil of sanity
One whisper turns virtue to depravity
Unspeakable the things I try to portray
Unexplored the depths of misery
The graven image of creator
Now arise from abyss of time
We worship lost symbols of self
The antichrist in the sin of pride
Behold the silent choir of the stars
The cosmic spirits and their maw
The mirror cracks, the seal is broken
Entropy will swallow us all
