Agoraphobe

He’s taking note of your behaviours
another symptom caught in your smile
He stops the oceans moving
and talks to the ghost you left on the kitchen tile
Every day you check your legs in the mirror

like bruises matter to you more

Loving in their shadows never won you their acclaim

That you can bare the carpet bomb cars, shuttling tv stars
And in your atrophied apartment
You’ve misplaced your empathy
As the sweat beads on your brow
Staring your carabiner down
Kiss the bruises on your knees
And take the trash out, when you leave
