Little from the World

search for a place to call my own
a place to rest my broken hopes
all my hate and shattered dreams
all the sadness in between
miracle of life or relief in death
not much more but this last breath
learned little from the world
but hate for myself
learned hate for the world
I live in hell
slow down this race I can't keep up
my body hurts my face is cut
tired of swimming this river of life
somewhere this water's turned to ice
as every day passed I chase it to see
it was the day for us or a chance for me
