I love you more than you think I do
This might be my universal truth
It doesn't matter if you're family or friend
A person I see once and never again
If I've seen you, I love you, of that I am sure
The level of feeling is varied but pure
Family I love more than words can express
But that failure of words is the ultimate test
I'm not saying I love more than anyone else
Or I love more than anyone might love myself
I just like to think it's a universal truth
That all of us love more than others think we do
Strangers are many but my enemies few
Still I will love them as I feel called to do
Acquainted and neighbors I may not know well Regardless I love them even if they can't tell
True friends I love more than I've had courage to say
So again it is true just a different way
I'm not saying I love more than anyone else
Or I love more than anyone might love myself
