One pleasant summer's morning
When flowers were a-blooming
And nature was a-dawning
And the small birds sweetly tuning
I met my love near to Banbridge town
My charming blue-eyed Sally-oh

With admiration I did gaze
On that fair-haired maiden
And Adam there so much was pleased
When he first saw Eve in Eden
Her skin was like the lily white

Her boots were Spanish leather
