📜 Lyrics
(Râhoola:) A quarter million years ago near the shores of Wáng-Montòor,
there dwelt one giant catfish who struggled to endure.
His strength was so impressive his fins were hard and blue,
but in his lonely path our friend was lost, he had no clue.
(Namazöoh:) Na-ma-zöoh?
(Râhoola:) Discreet and quiet fellow, he rarely spoke his mind,
uncertain and afraid to show the truth: war made him blind!
He feared cold rejection, being the last one of his kind.
Yet one night his luck changed, for it seemed fate had arranged,
Oh, a meeting with his soulmate: She! A bird who flew and shined.
(Aleekãnto:) A-lee-kãn-to!
(Râhoola:) The fish stood, amazed, while the precious bird flapped her wings
releasing shiny loops of light across the sky like golden rings.
His sight was back Like magic! Blazing stars had struck his eyes.
And dazzling she was flying, Namazöoh's eyes were crying:
He had met Aleekãnto, sparkling beauty and queen of skies.
(Da̐oom:) When the sighted sea leaps to seed the sky,
will my rightful heir come to life and cry
For to purge its touch, snake who went awry,
must a daunting path trace the fish who'll fly
(Aleekãnto:) He, a fish, as brave as a man could wish
(Namazöoh:) and she's a bird, whose beauty could not be reached.
(Aleekãnto:) Who'd believe, we've joyfully lived for years,
ever since we built our love nest
(Aleekãnto & Namazöoh:) by the sea.
(Namazöoh:) It seems right: a bird dreams and lives to fly.
(Aleekãnto:) Well he, bold fish, leaped high, soared across the sky
just to prove: for me, he would risk his life.
(Namazöoh:) And she fell, the bird fell in love, bewitched
(Aleekãnto, Namazöoh & The Flying Chorus:) By the fish!
(Râhoola:) Namazöoh and Aleekãnto fell in love near Wáng-Montòor,
and it didn't take long for them to know that what they had was real and pure.
But the sky and sea were nervous: what in God's name would they breed?
For some foul abomination was expected from their seed!
So one night of lunar eclipse, a voice preached of an advent,
And its prophecy revealed:
(Râhoola & Da̐oom:) Your son will be born to transcend!
(The Flying Chorus:) From light descent! And dark ascent!
Their son will be born to transcend!
Past lives amend! By this event!
Their son will be born to transcend Life!
(Aleekãnto & Da̐oom:) Giant catfish, you're the keeper
of what's noble and what's true
and you'll father well my offspring, be his teacher Namazöoh.
(Namazöoh & Da̐oom:) Aleekãnto, please be patient,
share your kindness and through love
bear The Treader of the Seven Jeweled-Lotuses
(Aleekãnto, Namazöoh & Da̐oom:) My son!
(The Flying Chorus:) To find the land! Its mission grand!
Their son will be born to transcend,
touched by the unnameable to stand:
The eternal dance between laughter and blaring lament!
(Râhoola:) The unnameable proceeded with a cryptic holy verse,
which bird and fish both heard and heeded, wondering: Blessing or a curse?
(Da̐oom:) One day he'll have a dream, his vision he will seek
a path that will be shown, through puzzles of the unknown.
You mustn't block his fate, yet keep him safe and wait:
This prophecy of sky and sea, a secret oath, kept by you both.
Agree my terms, and child: be born!
(Aleekãnto & Namazöoh:) Yes!
(Da̐oom:) Genezees!
(Râhoola:) The supernal womb was ready, and the part bird- part fish popped,
but as soon as he touched the ocean he jumped back up to the top,
so his parents shouted: Stop! As they blocked his rightful hop.
(Teezûck:) (baby noises)
(Aleekãnto:) In the shadows you will remain,
oh, you most precious blood of ours.
(Namazöoh:) For this world is so foully insane,
and here you'll have your own bed of flowers.
(Râhoola:) They felt so proud and joyous: Such euphoric living beings!
I mean, yeah, he had four eyes, green scales, a glow and two finlike wings
but it was love's purest desire, and it was their most cherished wish,
so they named their son in choir:
(Aleekãnto & Namazöoh:) Prince Teezûck!
(Râhoola:) The Flying Fish
