I'm sorry that I said it wasn't worth it
It hurt as much to say as it does to hear
The truth is I'm so scared of being lonely
And I'm running out of time I gave you all of my best years
And we spent them all just focusing on growing
We mostly grew together not apart
By the time the ultimatum came
We'd taught eachother how to play the game
Perfected science and the art
But I was happy

But we whittled them with practice over time
All those well spent evenings talking to each other
We were slowly untangling the line

You made sure that we never got bored
