I'm a poet or a wise alcoholic
There's always two ways you can take me
I'll try to be the one you want me to be
And I'll try to turn it around in an instant
If you don't like it
Because that's the way I roll
Like I'm your own personal doll
I'll be what you want me to be
I'll try my best to do it properly
Because I know I ain't perfect
I've known that from the start
I try to act like I'm full of myself
But it's because I'm only in doubt
I want to let the real me out
But I don't know who she is
I've never known who I am
And I don't know why I am
I copy and I mirror and I do it so well
I can be a sinner or I could be under your spell
I could put you under a spell
I don't know what else to do
Because I don't even know myself
I don't even know who I am
When I try to dig down deep
But it's constantly like a tiny shovel
Hitting away at stone hard concrete
The masks belong so long
I forgot what's underneath
When I look into the mirror
Waiting to be what you tell me to be
Waiting to be your dolly
I can try and do it so well
I'll try not to let the cracks show again
I'll try to be better for you, my friend

Like a piece of dough you knead and knead
I need work
Because to put on the perfect front
It takes time to master the crime
That's just how it is for me
