what truly is (interlude)

So I guess to answer your question
Being seen feels almost kind of like, um, an intrusion
An intrusion of like a really sacred space
That being my space, um
And an intrusion on like authenticity
I used to be a photographer so I used to really
Think about like the relationship between
Um, my subjects or the things or
People I was photographing in the lens
And how there was always this slight shift
This slight performative aspect as soon as I raised my camera
And I, my goal was always to remove that sort of like middle man, um
And I feel like sometimes the lens, whether that's like
The gaze of a human being, an actual physical lens
Like a video or camera or whatever the case may be
Or just a human being, like witnessing me being me has always
Felt like something kind of getting in the way of what truly is
