I remember my childhood days
When my friends could feel safe in the street
Never heard of drugs in the schoolyard
And we used to see policemen walk their beat

We all might learn our lesson
And get back on our feet
So please remember this

I can see more hate groups arising
And on the TV was our headline news
In '33, was all too easy
To ignore the Nazis and their views

Now gone are all the millions
Who died for me and you
Please remember this

It's always hard to make the changes
But look around at how we've lost our way
I'm gonna be more aware of my neighbour
And what history's teachings have to say
