Double Life Feelings

I live a double life, and it sure can be hard sometimes
You know I got a wife and a family way down the line
Months on the highway, I miss that woman of mine

Another sea of faces starin' at my wild guitar
Time to be a-movin', throw my cases in the car
In my mind, there's a question, "Why must you be so far?"

I feel so disconnected, distances between us grow
Every day of travelin' got me feelin' high and low
I sure miss the home life of down that lonesome road I go

Nights are all so empty, I know it's gotta haunt you too
Lyin', tossin', turnin', got a window, got no view
And the ache in my heart every time I have a dream of you
