Remembrance

This is the departing
And the time of remembrance
I will not swallow the poison
Nor pull the trigger
To enact the single moment
By which all is gone forever

No one will remember a thing

I see a creeping discolouration

I see a poisoned meadow
I see the wilt in the petal

Horses leap in the mist
Behind frothing shields
Of an army moving in
Vanquishing in giant leaps
Gliding mercilessly with eagle's wings
