The year behind me talks of ups and downs
Changing fads and people who have gone
The ragged pages tell of warmer days
And the very first tale of love
Of true religion and of drink and pop
And Calvinistic folk who'll never see the light
Of who evaded summer
How the friendship lasts as long as the sun
