I'm watching TV
And I'm reminded of something from way back when
And it makes me feel guilty
And then I'm distracted all over again by something on the TV
And I forget what I remembered
And now I'm absently watching, but I'm still feeling guilty

Like a little old dog
Whining on about something that they can't see
But I can't tell what's wrong
Just that something's not working inside of me

And now the show is over
But the episode is still far from done
It's a marathon weekend
And I'm just cuing up another rerun

All alone with my own anxieties
