The Tale

Took a train to a foreign land
Out for adventures and fun and sand
Watching the scenery passing
Outside my window
In the night when we get to Spain
There's a man boarding the train
Sits down right beside me
Then we begin to move
In the dark I can hear him breathe
Whistling and heavy-leaved
Please don't drive me crazy
Please don't make things hazy
Please don't play with my mind
Turn on the lights and I look around
There's a man in a spell-bound
Snap my fingers, he seems to wake up
The man begins to sail
Last night in Madrid I believe
Sat in a bar, ready to leave
A strange lady came right up to me
And then she took me home
With black eyes and really dark hair
She took my hand and she led me up the stairs

In her apartment was dusty and damp
She really could have needed some kind of lamp
Staring at a cat on a worn-out chair
I was beginning to feel a little scared
She came out of the kitchen, she had made some tea
It tasted quite good and she smiled at me
My head started spinning around and around
Stumbling out in the street where I hit the ground
Listen here now, boys and girls
Here's a lesson to be learned
Don't follow a woman home, but
Never taste her tea
In the night I can hear her scream
