I guess it's always been around
This idea that we're profound
That we are somehow chosen

We need a god to blame
Something to which we are beholden
And deep inside this can of worms

That's where they fall upon their swords
As they sing praises to the lord
And search for paradise forever

But we'd surely be advised
To take control of where we're going

Better get used to this idea
