Gratitude

I can't comprehend what most believe
I cannot do what others do
I cannot think how others think
What kind of poison do these people drink?

Now I should figure why
I have this feeling, I can't deny
That I don't belong, I'm not part of this
Is this the place we're supposed to live?

I can't understand the reason why
We hurt each other and take pride
To be selfish is to be smart?
I think it's time we modify it

This is the place, the time is now
To feel blessed and understood
Charity is something we can't deprive
It should be a new kind of drive

I say it is time we change the rules
There still a chance if you believe
I guess you're ready for a fresh start
Take my hand and enjoy the ride
