A man and a woman can be so close together
That they almost become like one
They promise to love till life is done

A man and a woman can be part of each other
But somehow it is very strange
The things that you love the most can change

Hard times come and when they do

But once you have hurt each other
You start to drift away
Then the man and the woman
Who were so close together
Can be suddenly so alone
Forgetting the lovely moments they've known
