Oh, mother dear on Christmas day
Again I must complain
I wonder if it's Santa Claus
Who makes mistakes again

She's got too many things
Dolls and sweets and six-pack beers
Clothes and golden rings
Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat

And Santa Claus is getting old

But little Peter down the road
Had none of all the stuff

For pouring out his load
