When the River Breaks

The things that were and that which is yet to come
Is melting together as one
Through a river it streams
In a colour I haven't yet seen
As clear as the day
Through dreams I'm awake
But in this river I drown
From suffering it rains

Heavy lies the burden of things yet to pass
I can not foresee how dark the dusk will be
How solemn the skies will seem
I already know to what end this will come
For how many nights the earth will bleed
The son of my son harvest the sin
In rebirth of time in the chaos of my mind
I sacrifice myself to myself and in death I planted the seed

I know that I'll die but it's at dawn that I'm slain
And the coming storm from skies that is open wide
But it's not of my end that I speak

By the river it grows through suffering in the rain
Nurtured by the past present and that to come
I've always known that I'd die

It's for you this river streams
In colours ive not yet seen
I see how this will end
I've seen that which can not come to be
When the river breaks its endless stream
