๐ Lyrics
Well that'll put you in a good mood
That's "Beer 30" from Florida Georgia Line
We have BK and Tyler with us
We're going track by track through their new album
There's a lot of music on here
Fifteen songs plus an interlude
And this next song, I'm not sure how I feel about it
Because I don't understand part of it
I can't figure out if there's like a hidden meaning that I don't know
Maybe something I need to look up on Urban Dictionary
But I'm talking about the song "New Truck"
I can't figure out, is it just a song about getting a new truck?
Or the second verse especially is what throws me off
'Cause I don't know what a lot of it means
So, are there undertones to this?
Is it just a straightforward song about a truck?
Well, I'll answer really quickly
Then I wanna ask you what you think the undertones are
But no, in "New Truck", it was just a very simply fun, silly song
That at some point we were like, "Man, this just feels good"
And I just wanna ride around in my truck and listen to this
And uh, have a song to jam
Any time any of our buddies get a new truck we can
Send to 'em and say, "Yo, bump this in the truck"
So yeah, it kinda came to us through a random friend out of Atlanta
And it felt way different
We were just like, "Man, we should just do something like this"
This feels really fun and different
And unique and fresh and kinda innocent
So yeah, and now back to the undertones you were talking about, Bekah
What in the world would an undertone in this song be?
I don't know, I just, as I was listening
I kinda understood the first verse
And then you got to the second verse
And you were talking about
"Cashed out on a brand new whip
Check out the cowboy drip
Kangaroo hide grip"
And then you go on and say, uh, "Like tobacco, I'ma dip
I've been feelin' real country and western
Shots fired, anybody wanna test her?"
That doesn't make perfect sense?
And then you talk about- No
I thought, well maybe when you mentioned smoking
Maybe that's what was happening when you were writing this song
Probably were
Alright, well then I'm just gonna go with that
'Cause uh, I can't make heads or tails of it
But it's a fun song
