Parting Waves

This is the age when loyalties are divided
People are no longer what they seem to be
Old habits become character
And apathy is a substitute for emotion

When understanding and reason fall under a blind eye
Only jealousy and deception make the ego of a person's eye

I send these waves to hunt you
And take you to my hell
There you will drown
In my fears, your tears, and our sulfur past

Loved again and through and bled my heart out
Shed friendships and been betrayed by the same
But people like that aren't worth a second of attention
So I severe the feelings that hold me back
And focus my anger to the threshold of creation
No I have the high ground

I send these waves to hunt me
Remind me of fears that last
So I can find the demon that beholds
And drown him in these waves of change
