That Taylor Swift tends to write a lot about love but it's not always happy songs
Breathe is another sad song, I like sad songs, it's a song about having to say goodbye to somebody

And said, "Please let me write with her, I really want to meet her and I wanna write with her"
And so she came into the show in Nashville and they made sure that I had that day off
And so I met with her at her management company and brought her this idea
And we wrote it together and it's about losing a person who feels like a piece of you
