Wake in the morning and I
rise to greet the day
I get a feeling things are
gonna go my way
Could be mistaken but I’m aching
just to have the chance to try
I count my blessings learn my lessons
and I hold my head up high

Then in the evening when I
go to sleep at night
I’ve done my best to keep the
home fire burning bright
And your complaining’s entertaining but it’s
starting to wear thin
