Revelation Of Romance

I was saying, "Why, Lord, why did You create Lucifer
Knowing he would betray You and be cast to this earth?
And Lord, why do I live here in his domain?
What's the point? I don't mean to complain"

And the Lord said, "It's a part of My great plan"
And I said, "Lord, share it with me, help me understand"

And He said, "It started a very long time ago
You see, there is none like Me and therefore I am alone
And so I created Adam in My image
And when I saw he was alone, I had compassion on him
So I made a companion for him, her name was Eve"
And I said, "Yes, Lord, but You knew
They'd fall and they'd be deceived"

And the Lord said, "It's a part of My great plan"
And I said, "Lord, share it with me, help me understand"

And the Lord said, "I purify by the fire, you see
And even the devil serves a purpose for Me
And all this time I have desired a mate
She'll be ready at the appointed date
And you've read in My Word Jesus will come for His bride
The people who love Me choose Me, they are My wife
And the life that you're living is the fire as we go
Purifying, refining this one I love
And you've read in My Word of the great wedding feast
My bride and I will start eternity"

And I said, "Lord, You are God, You could have made for Yourself
A perfect companion like no one else"
And He said, "The words that you've spoken, they are true
But I wanted someone to choose Me just like you do
See the longing you feel, the romance that you thirst
I made you in My likeness and I felt that first"

Then I saw this great warrior fighting for his bride
He loved her so much that he laid down his life
Would let the enemy have but not a chance
He gave all he had for his sweet romance

Hallelujah, hallelujah

And I said, "Lord, sometimes this life, the burning, it hurts
But I will count it all joy, for I now see its worth
