From Walls to Woods

Standing in front of the door
My mom and dad are in the car in the driveway
I'm crying
What are they leaving for
Leaving me

Don't know where they're going
Turn towards street's dead end
Look out the window
Empty white wall looks like a portal

Into the woods
I touch the wall
I call my grandma on the phone

She appears
Trying to explain why they left
She's no longer there
I close my eyes
Trying to walk through the wall
Into a forest
When I open my eyes I'm standing in the woods
Dead leaves

I can hear footsteps coming towards me
Looking all around

Can't see anyone
But the footsteps keep getting closer
Closer
I wake up

In my bag of holding
These nightmares are subdued
I now sense a feeling
Of power in solitude
In the Astral Corridors
