Pond

Feel the air on your face
And ride (your bike) until morning
Reach the dock and be brave
& Wash the guilt from your body

Like the water makes you clean
And it gives some type of relief

Dry your back
You're still wet from the pond
Did I make this last
For a moment too long
Don't pretend that I'm somebody else
And I'll try my best
To do that myself

Did the water make it seem
Like we had something to believe?
What will stick around when I leave?
Do you feel anything now?
