Parting the Mists

The air is thick with ancient magic here
The waters of the lake are calm
But still I feel there's someone watching near

A new way of life is what's in front of me
What I thought was real is just a fraction of the true reality

Through the mother's eyes
New horizons stretch my mind
Embracing the gift that is the cycle of life
In these new days
In the Goddess I place my faith
Parting the mists and stepping through the gate

It's becoming clear what is meant to be
I was unaware my fate was never something that belonged to me

I'm duty bound to serve in every way
Just another pawn to use in the game of life that we all must play

And with the Sight
By the ritual firelight
Visions appear from any moment in time
And to this day
I can hear the wise one say
Part the mists and step through the gates

The ringing of the bells subsides
Into another world we ride
A crescent moon the mark we bear
I'll part the mists and guide you there
