๐ Lyrics
I'm an introvert, but every time I look the opposite
Always wanting to chase settings where it's a conglomerate
Hypocrite right? Life is a series of oxymorons now ain't it right
Alone together amazingly awful clearly confused
And that's what I am, I say these things are falsely true
It's weird, I'm moved, this city makes me feel solitude
But every time I'm out there in the streets roaming by myself
The lonelier I get the more social I was feeling as well
Alone
And it's lovely to be hidden out of sight
Alone
I'm invisible to everyone out here
Alone
Somehow I still feel I'm part of the crowd
Alone
I love that we're all publicly anonymous
Some people say that it's misery
To feel like you're hidden and camouflaged I say it's liberty
Never am I truly alienated by the city
Some people find it weird it contradicts their sociability
But I'm just here to rap a bit about my perspective
Not to generalize a certain idea never reflective
But I'd be lying if I didn't say I didn't embrace it
It makes me never miss smaller towns I fuckin hate it
I love that I can feel calm when in public with the rest
Never attract attention be judged, or turn heads
Who cares what cultural background I'm from or outward appearance
We are different but also the same me and you, cosmopolitan views
Alone
And it's lovely to be hidden out of sight
Alone
I'm invisible to everyone out here
Alone
Somehow I still feel I'm part of the crowd
Alone
I love that we're all publicly anonymous
2014 I pulled up
With my mother to 514 quite literally looked up
To tall towers, big shops, lively sights and sounds
The revelation was quite shocking and profound
Maybe intimidated, but still inviting
Difference between two places an hour away were striking
I hate my past so now I'm set
Just to reset, reinvent my image I'm a welcomed guest
A place to show my individuality I never fret
Diversity and tolerance are never under threat
I am eccentric but who I am is none of their business
We're all anonymous so they don't care and they don't judge
I love that I can feel calm when in public with the rest
Never attract attention be judged, or turn heads
Who cares what cultural background I'm from or outward appearance
We are different but also the same me and you, cosmopolitan views
Alone
And it's lovely to be hidden out of sight
Alone
I'm invisible to everyone out here
Alone
Somehow I still feel I'm part of the crowd
Alone
I love that we're all publicly anonymous
I am not noticed
Peace of mind
Blend in the crowd
I am not noticed
Always wanting to chase settings where it's a conglomerate
