I'm a fairly quiet guy but I like to laugh and that
That's OK but when I'm laughing I look just like a twat
You might say that's ridiculous and of course you're right
Except when I'm trying hard to make an impact
And she keeps telling jokes

Just the other day I went to a concert on my own
I forgot to read the program and I felt so alone
All they played was an overture by some Russian get
I was so ashamed I had to fake a headache

When I got back home
I noticed that something else was wrong Girl
Not that anything was broken
But everything was changed and upside down

I had to take the day off and cancel all my dates
And my girlfriend she was angry and so were all my mates
But alas it's important to have a happy home
And nothing can stop me in my search for beauty
