Step by weary step I'm dragged
Into the keep
I pass the pillars of our deceased

Cadavers strewn (of the strong and wise)
Their bodies transformed
Their carbon forms turned to quartz
Unnatural physics fuels horror.

Trepidation fuels fight or flight
But these chains that bind
Drag me through this perverse tour
Of our extinction
I witness the fall of mankind

To be drained of our life force
