Mob Rule

Plans were unveiled,
The press informed,
Residents muttered their doubts and fears
At meetings.

A brace of councilors
Voiced concern
Some assent was murmured

There were Advisors and
An Expert Guidance had been sought

Whom to trust?
Who could know
Just what that meant:
Expert?

People are so ungrateful,
It's quite hard on Chairmen.

Directors of Planning must be given
The right to make Plans
Just as say,
The woodworm
Must bore.

So too
Advisors must
Advise.
