The winding way
'Neath skies of tumbling grey
Through misty fields I walk alone
A sign of May
Defies the darkening day
There's a blackthorn blooming amidst the gold

This wreckless age won't last forever
And the dance of life, it never ends

Beneath the blossom
As twilight forms
Who guards the blackthorn

Another baneful cycle revealed
What senseless ruin will this dark age bring
Yet in this fields
All fear of loss I will yield
To the blackthorn, spirit of the dawning Spring
