Century Creepers (Voice of the Proteus)

It's quiet and there's nothing here.
Only the sound of my own footsteps echo.
There's not even any landscape.

I'm used to this darkness, but
Someday I want to try to find a way out.
It'd be nice if I could smile; it seems strange.
I can feel this light I can't see
With all my self and soul.

It seemed to bud here,
A spirit that blossomed without knowing rain.
The story of a century.

Feeling like somebody is waiting for me,
I'm continuing my search.
The end is surely just a little farther,
But it's not now. Though my breathing is disturbed,
I have a reason to keep going.

I'm hiding in the darkness, but
Someday I want to meet you.
Though I have no eyesight, I'll find it.
I'll sniff out this similar sort of pain
With all my self and spirit.
