Flies In My Room

I sit down, turn the page over
Pull out a pen and put it to the paper
Writing all the answers to the questions set

It hasn't even been an hour since
I got off the bus and walked back home
Took off my bag and took off my shoes
Now there's a pen in my hand that i'm supposed to use

Then i
I start paying close attention to
The warm lights
That keep on buzzin like the flies in my room

Oh i think i could be friends with them by now
Cause i think there ain't a chance that i'll write anything down
I wonder if it's normal for my head to constantly drift out at sea
If it's not
It's fine by me

I've got a paper due tomorrow
But the voice in my head is telling me
To go the kitchen and light up the stove instead

Suddenly i see an arrow point in the direction of the tv and now i sit
Staring at blank screen in front of me
Thinking about what the worse could possibly be
