A Place Where Sand Meets Fog

Exhale slowly- as the last breath leaves
Circling rapidly towards the surface in tiny bubbles
Leaving me with empty lungs and outstreched arms

As I allow the black water to cleanse me from the inside out
As I allow the black water to fill all the fragile spaces

The weight of the ocean presses against my chest
Wrapping me tightly, like some thalassic lover
While I descend slowly into the blackness of the abyss
