I am awake
But somehow frozen
No sound seeps from these lungs
Trapped inside a prison made of bones
I've seen this place before
Night after night in a cold sweat
A monolithic figure looms inside my consciousness
Dragged below, deeper than I have ever known
The veil is lifted but the weight remains unbearable
I refuse to let this consume me
I fucking want out
I want to go back to the moment laid in time where it all went dark
Obscured imagery of a state once so clean
When does the light switch on?
Knowing the end is all too close
Slowly hanging by a thread,
The hold it breaks and there's nothing I can do to stop it now
My misfortune has led me astray
Collapse under dead weight
This web I weave solidified me in place
A descendent of endless anguish
My fate decided upon arrival
I suffer, eternal, decay
Run for the light but it keeps away from me
Betrayed by fear
I am my own worst nightmare
Desolation to the savior I saw in me
