We are alone in the basement, and I think I broke my wrist
Cause I cannot hack the holidays, or master a kick flip

We are alone in the basement
I will drink away the fracture
I will drink away my future
I will sit and talk for hours

I will keep the concrete company
I will let it tend and nurse my wounds
And when we get back to your parents
I will pass out in your spare room

I am alone in the basement
I am at home in the hollow of the hall
I am content in the mess I have molded
