Force myself to open my eyes as light breaks over this empty room.
Shut out the sound of droning thoughts.
My feet have finally found purchase on a ground
Made up of past mistakes and dejected days.
I just can't grasp this life of giving in.
Am I supposed to say that I'll find my way towards happiness
Stuck in a world where success
Is measured by how much we're willing to spend?
