Is there a sadder sight
Than a dead tree in a field?
A shadow of what it used to be
And like a husk it stands
Lifeless in the breeze
Surrounded by twisted, dead debris
And I lie there, side by side
Remind me of you and I
The bonds once so alive
Have now withered and died
