Rustle of the Stars

Cigarette smoke curls up in the sycamore
Stone dust beach house breaking in the water
Needles and pins in the cold cold glow
Drifting up cliffs with the rising snow

Rusty blue eyes be my husky at dawn
Sunset sunrise shelter in the ice storm
Dancing in the streets til the butterfly bites
