Once I Am King

Early one morning
We awoke in the grass
Like stones we were scattered
We could have been missiles
We could have been a wall

We were awoken
Like adams and eves
Like puppets on strings
Someday our remains will jingle
In the wind

Time stands still the world is gone
A frozen ocean an extinct sun
A cosy white light in the hall
I might be there after all
But i hear distant whispers call

A left wing a right wing
The shadow of a bird
That flies/goes over our heads
A giant budgie as big as the world
